Looking back on the tapas, sherries and cocktails from my favorite bars in Sevilla filled me with a sensation I gradually realized was not hunger, but love. I love the bars of this city, I love the neighborhood of Triana, and I will visit and revisit the places on my list as many times as I can.
Two weeklong class trips to Sevilla with the Xianix Barrera Flamenco in 2023 and 2024 facilitated my studious research into the city’s best bars. I quickly found bars so good that I spent many of my consumption opportunities on repeat visits, a limitation I do not regret any more than I regret my focus on the neighborhood of Triana, which is not at all.
